I thought it would track-back from my blog, but I guess it didn’t. Hmm.
At any rate, the wifey and I started September 1. I like the idea of a “Bible year” (like a fiscal year), that doesn’t start on Jan.1.

The ESV RSS website is awesome! You can choose your path and they’ll even read it to you…which helps some of us older dudes who eyes get a little tired!!…and your right it’s only 15 minutes..I’m still in ..day 2!

Alright, Paula, Todd, and Carl, we’re in this together. Several folks from the twenties group here at CPC are on board too.
For my reading today I began in the Gospel of John, reading chapters 1-3. I took pause over John 3:16-17, marveling over the gospel, over God sending his only Son to save sinners like me.

I am up for the challenge..and I say that with conviction. Yesterday I was listening to Dr. Kennedy and Vernon McGee both speaking on the topic of reading your Bible daily.. and I have to say that stirred my heart.. I have to say I don’t read my Bible daily..and yet Dr. Kennedy spoke of it “our daily bread” …He said ” would we ever think of giving up a good steak just because we had it before” ..Now I love a good steak and glass of red wine..and I would never pass up an invitation for dinner..so why do I pass up daily an invitation from the Lord to be truly fed? foolish man am I… I am up for the best meal of the year and hope and pray I can stay at the table…Be the waiter and ask every so often ” How are things” and I will do the same!

I downloaded the plans and will try to use one of them. I have to be honest, like many I’ll start off strong but probably lag behind at some point.
A suggestion: you might put together a reading calendar/checklist combination via Excel.
