    Some Preaching is Like…

"Some preaching is like wine: it has color and sparkle, but does no permanent good; some is like drinking coffee: it stimulates, but does not nourish; some is like carbonated water: a fuss over nothing; some is like spring water: good but hard to get."

    -George Bernard Shaw

    That’s a cool quote.

By the way, your preaching is spring water. And Shaw is right, carbonated water is silly.

I think some preaching is like apple juice that looks like beer.
Anyways, I’ve seen a lot of coffee preaching in my short business/sales life. One of my mentors that ultimately brought me to Christ called it the difference between motivation and inspiration. Motivation makes you feel good. Inspiration doesn’t always make you feel good but it moves you to want to change.
    Good Quote.
