Customized Bible Reading Plans for 2008
I operate on a September-August Bible reading schedule. After writing this post in September, a number of you joined me in my September to August Bible reading schedule, adopting one of the five reading plans listed in that same post. Best I can tell, four months in, most of you are still on board with the plan–still reading and enjoying your Bible along with me.
Many of you function better on a January-December Bible reading schedule. To help you in setting up a workable joy-fueling, God-glorifying, sin-killing, others-loving, prayer-producing, gospel-remembering Bible reading plan for 2008, I’d encourage you to adopt a customized Bible reading plan that excites you and fits you. To get you started, here’s six different Bible reading plans to choose from and to, if necessary, customize to better suit you:

Thanks for the good resources, Justin! Sean is going to start tomorrow with the schedule provided in the church bulletin yesterday. I admit I’ve gotten a bit off-track with the holidays and need to double-time to catch up to the schedule. But it’s all worth it…our daily bread. :)
Happy New Year!
Thanks for the gentle prod, Justin. Spurred by reading your post, I hunted down a book I’d picked up several months ago in anticipation of the New Year, and then promptly forgotten about. It is D.A. Carson’s “For the Love of God, Volume 1″ which uses Robert Murray M’Cheyne’s daily reading plan. I’m very much enjoying the time in the Word thus far.
Loving your website Justin! Thank you for your hard work and insight. Have you ever read “Redemption Accomplished and Applied?”
My husband and I have been reading this and have been so blessed by this solid teaching that is missing in many of the churches today. I know that growing up I really didn’t understand WHY Christ died. Of course there was always the “for your sins” answer, but it never really was explained WHY he died rather than just forgiving us from heaven, etc. Great book!
thanks again,
shelby
