I started reading your blog back when you wrote about Rob Bell’s tour. I can’t remember how I got here, but some other blog that I read linked to you. I’ve been reading your stuff ever since and decided to listen to this message because we’re doing a series on Hebrews here at my church too.
But I was really surprised when you did your list of possible authors for Hebrews and mentioned Mark Mitchell. I know Mark—he was in my D.Min. class at Gordon-Conwell. He’s friend of mine and, whenever I come to SF, my wife and I always worship at CPC and I usually have breakfast or lunch with Mark.
Anyway, it was just an unexpected surprise. I knew you were in the Bay area, but just didn’t put together that you were at CPC until you mentioned Mark’s name.
I enjoyed your message and thought you did a very good job explaining and applying the text. Keep up the good work and I’ll look forward to listening to the other 3 messages.
