Bible Study Questions

Here is a list of the 7 questions that I encourage myself to ask and that I encourage others to ask when reading and studying the Bible:1. How do you think the original audience of this text understood and applied this text?2. How does this text fit in with the overall message of this book (ie., within whatever biblical book your text is found in)?3. How does this text fit in with the overall storyline of the Bible?4. What does this text tell you about what God is like?5. What does this text tell you about the human condition/heart?6. How does this text suggest, foreshadow, or explain humanity's need for a Savior?7. How can you apply this text to 1) your relationship with God, 2) your relationship with Christians, and 3) your relationship with non-Christians today?I hope these questions might be of help to you as you read and think about God's Word.
