My Study

Every pastor needs a study. Ideally, every pastor needs a comfortable study at his home. So I was a bit bummed when, 7 months ago, we moved into our 2 bedroom condo and I had to simply swallow the fact that there was no space in my first home for a study. I accepted it and thought that maybe someday we'd be able to afford a place that would give us an extra bedroom for a study.BUT, my smart wife soon pointed out that we didn't need the full 10 feet of narrow closet space in the master bedroom hallway and that this space could possibly serve as a study. That's where my handy father in-law comes in. Unlike me, my father in-law knows how to build stuff. Couple this with the fact that my father in-law loves me and really wanted to see me have a home study and you get: several weeks of creative hard work, a 7 ft. long rift oak desk, masculine book shelves, and a great place to study, write, and pray.Here's some pictures of the former closet, turned study:
