Philippians Study Guide

The study guide that I wrote on Philippians has now been printed, bound, and put to use by my church.Last week we dove into Study #1 of this guide, exploring how the gospel message that Paul first preached at Philippi in 50 AD brought radical change to three very different Philippian residents: the wealthy Asian business woman, the poor exploited slave girl, and the blue collar Roman jailer (Acts 16). These three changed lives then went on to form the foundation of the Philippian church--a church that, when Paul wrote Philippians 10 years later, was about the business of effecting gospel change throughout the whole city of Philippi. As we waded through this introductory text and this introductory lesson last Thursday night, many of us were struck by the great hope that's to be found in the gospel. If the gospel of Jesus could change the people and the place of Philippi, it can change the people we know and the places we go.If you're interested in taking a look at the approach of this study guide and the content of this first study that I've just mentioned, download this sample: Download Sample_Study.pdf
