Lecrae. Rebel. ReachLife. DWYL Tour.

This morning I had breakfast with my old college buddy, Lukas Naugle, who serves on staff at Desiring God (Lukas is the guy behind all the excellent videos DG produces, and much more). As our pancakes and coffee came to a close, Lukas gave me an extra copy of the latest album by Christian rap artist, Lecrae.I've been listening to the album (rebel) all morning while working away in my office. It's solid. I love the theme behind rebel:

"Rebel is a redefinition. Not only of the word rebel, but of how many ofus view the Christian life. Rebel rejects the notion that being aChristian means a passive approach to our theology and an undedicatedlifestyle. The definitions of what we believe and value affect how welive in our short time on this earth. On his third studio album, it'sclear that Lecrae value's Jesus above all things as he unpacks thatpassion over 15 incredible tracks."

I'll be listening to this album a lot. Buy it.Lecrae is doing some important work and you should check his stuff out: read Lecrae's bio and sample more of his Christ-centered, clever rap.
