March 9th: Garden City Church Informational Meeting

Friends, a week from today we're holding an informational meeting for Garden City Church. If you have friends in San Jose who might want to learn more about this new church plant, please share this information with them. Below is the content of an email I sent today to committed core team members and potential core team members of Garden City. It's going to be fun to see who shows up at this meeting! Do pray for this.WHAT is this meeting about and WHO should attend?This is an informational meeting for Garden City Church, a new church plant in downtown San Jose. Come hear me share the vision and plan for Garden City and answer questions about the church. Steve Fuller, my good friend and lead pastor of Mercy Hill Church (our sending church), will also be present to share about the vision.This is a meeting for people who have already committed to the Garden City core team, people who are interested in potentially committing to the core team, and people who simply want to learn more about the church and how to support us relationally and financially. So, everyone is invited. Children are warmly welcome, though there will be no childcare provided.WHEN is the meeting?Wednesday March 9th (a week from today!) at 7pm. Plan on arriving early in order to find parking. The meeting will last about an hour. After I quit talking, plan on sticking around for a while so that we can all mingle and get to know each other better.WHERE is the meeting?The meeting is at the Theatre on San Pedro Square, 29 N. San Pedro Street. There is a parking lot directly across the street from the theatre. I suggest you follow these instructions for parking and finding the theatre. The theatre is directly above O'Flaherty's Irish Pub and Peggy Sue's, though the entrance to the theatre is in the back.
