ESCAPE Route B
Here's the deal. Our little guy is still refusing to turn upside down, point his head towards the exit door, and make his way out into the world. We're already seeing what a rebellious little boy we're going to have on our hands. So, since escape route A isn't working, we're going with escape route B from the womb. If our son won't come to us, we'll come to him. We're taking him by surprise. Little does he know that his mom and I have assembled a team of commandos (doctors) and that in less than 20 hours we're all going to storm his hideout (the womb) and apprehend him.Tomorrow, at 5:45am, Taylor and I will arrive at the hospital. At 7:30am the C-section begins. By 8:00am we'll have already met our slippery, naked son. I'm so excited. I wish we could get on with it right now.If you think of it, please be in prayer for us. Pray that Taylor would be tough and that despite the fear/anxiety/pain of a C-section that she'd be fully present (mentally and emotionally) to enjoy every second of this birth (pray for her recovery too). Pray also that this surgery goes well and that the doctors deliver a healthy baby. And, finally, pray for me--that I'd serve my wife well as she gives birth to our first child. I really appreciate your prayers. We'll be in the hospital for 4 nights (unless they discharge us early). Hopefully I'll post a photo or two of the little guy real soon.
