Crusoe ("Cru") Luke Buzzard is Born
Yesterday at 8:21am, 6lb. 7oz. Crusoe ("Cru") Luke Buzzard was born. I now know how he fit inside my wife's tiny stomach: both of his legs were bent back towards his head, almost touching his ears. Cru's legs are slowly moving back to normal, but presently they're still up pretty high. We're thinking that this flexibility will come in handy for sports. What has amazed us (and all the nurses & visitors) the most about about Cru is how alert and observant he is. Except for two short 45 minute naps yesterday, Cru had his eyes open all day long, looking around and taking in his new world. So far Cru's favorite thing to do is hang out with his mom and dad. It's now been a little over 24 hrs. since the birth and Taylor is recovering very well. As two happy and exhausted new parents, we're so thankful for all your prayers. And we're thankful for your visits too. Keep them coming. Cru loves making friends.Yesterday we taught Cru how to breastfeed and burp. Today we're going to teach him how to listen to his dad read the Bible to him. Tomorrow I might teach him how to wrestle.
